I've
been compelled to express my thoughts and dreams through drawing since I
was very young. Some of my earliest memories are sitting in my
'workshop' in the basement of the house my family and I lived in at that
time, surrounded by my crayons and coloring books. I was about three
years old at the time, and my special talent was drawing horses,
especially Unicorns! Art was my favorite subject all throughout school.
In high school my skills matured rapidly! After graduation I
attended Essex Community College and then on to The Maryland Institute,
College of Art in Baltimore.
I bought my first home in 1997. The house is very special to me
because it belonged to my great grandparents and I bought it from my
grandparents. Since I have lived here, one of my favorite pastimes
has been decorating my house with my artwork. Unfortunately, time
was limited because I was always busy working forty hours a week doing
nothing that required any creativity. Occasionally I would be
commissioned to paint a piece of furniture or a portrait for friends and
family. Everyone always told me I was wasting my talents and that I
should go into business for myself but I never did. Finally, after
working many unfulfilling jobs, I have decided to do what I love- Full
Time! |
